PROJECT OVERVIEW

Launched in 2024, Visite de Broussard is a mission-driven half-marathon dedicated to supporting a variety of charities each year. By turning historic Broussard into a vibrant gathering place for runners of all levels, the event promotes community spirit, health, and togetherness. Visite de Broussard reflects our commitment to inspiring healthier lives while making a lasting, positive impact both locally and beyond.

THE CHALLENGE

We partnered with the founders of Visite de Broussard at a very early stage, before the organization had built its infrastructure or established a community presence. While they came to us with only a basic logo, it was clear they needed a complete brand identity to connect with runners across the region while still highlighting Broussard’s unique character.

Our task was to create a comprehensive brand identity that would resonate with runners across the entire region while also maintaining a sense of exclusivity specific to Broussard. They also needed a well-designed, user-friendly website that could serve multiple purposes: as a central hub to direct traffic, providing detailed information about the event, and sharing the story behind what makes their half-marathon unique.

Our team developed a cohesive brand strategy, designed a versatile website to serve as both an information hub and storytelling platform, and created marketing materials to attract sponsors and participants alike. To extend their reach, we also launched their social media channels from the ground up and provided ongoing content to engage and grow their audience. Together, these efforts built a strong foundation for the event’s visibility, credibility, and community impact.

THE SOLUTION

Building on the initial logo design, we developed a full suite of marketing assets to bring Visite de Broussard to life. The official website and sponsor packet established the foundation of the brand, while vibrant colors—drawn from Broussard’s iconic gears—conveyed the city’s energy and innovation. These visual elements carried through apparel, volunteer T-shirts, and a custom race medal, creating a cohesive experience for participants that resonates with a diverse audience.

To amplify visibility, we launched dedicated social media pages on Facebook and Instagram, producing engaging video content that showcased the scenic race route, highlighted the event’s local flavor, and featured the founders to build trust and anticipation. This digital strategy was strengthened by targeted ad campaigns, even on a modest budget. By race day, the event had exceeded its registration goals, underscoring the impact of a unified brand identity and well-executed marketing approach.

ANALYSIS

With the new logo created, we quickly crafted a compelling narrative around a race with a meaningful mission. With just five months until race day, time was truly of the essence. While the target audience for runners was clearly defined, the sponsor base was diverse, requiring tailored messaging to resonate across multiple groups. By combining innovative, visually striking designs with targeted social media campaigns, we successfully engaged both participants and sponsors. This strategic approach not only built excitement and awareness but also helped surpass initial fundraising and registration goals, setting the stage for a highly successful event.

Vermilionville, a subsidiary of Bayou Vermilion District, is one of the crown jewels of Acadiana. It is iconic, a historical landmark right in our own backyard with tons of educational and recreational activities.
