SOME OF OUR FAVORITE PROJECTS

FAQ

Graphic or web design, which is better?
Well, it depends on what the client needs! If a client is looking for promotional items or print, graphic design works best for their needs. If a client needs a better user experience on their website, then web design is the obvious choice. Usually, a designer is experienced in multiple facets of their field and can produce creative for a wide range of subfields, including both graphic design and web design. One isn’t necessarily better than the other, so each has their uses when applied appropriately.
What is the difference between UI design and graphic design?
User interface, or UI design, is based on how the website functions with the design and the overall user experience when on the website. To break it down, user interface design combines science of web development with the art of design. Some designers specialize in UI design for web development purposes, while others focus on digital and physical art in graphic design. We have multiple designers with different specialties for all your design needs, including both user interface design and graphic design.
What are the types of graphic design?
There are so many different types of graphic design, we don’t have the space to list them all! At our agency, there are several subfields that our designers frequent, including print design, user interface (UI) design, web design, digital design, social media design, product design, and ____. This isn’t a comprehensive list; however, we find that these types of graphic design projects are most requested by clients.
Do graphic designers make logos?
Sometimes, yes! Depending on what the client needs, our graphic designers are responsible for developing logos and establishing a set of guidelines for your brand. This is usually the first step we take with new businesses or businesses that are rebranding to develop a new brand identity. We help to establish and maintain this new brand identity with a rigid set of standards that includes a set of logos and their alternates, color palettes, font choices, stylistic choices, spacing, and more.
What is the difference between graphic design and print design?
The easiest way to explain the difference is that graphic design is the main field, and print design is a subcategory of graphic design. Our designers are responsible for developing creative for a wide range of things within the agency, including print design. That includes things like billboards, banners, yard signs, trifold brochures, menus, pamphlets, door-hangers, posters, vinyl car wraps, and more! If it can be printed, our designers can create it within the parameters set by the printing company for a perfectly finished product.
Why is graphic design important?
Graphic design can set your business apart from the competition. With eye-catching and visually appealing design, you can capture your audience’s attention quicker and keep it for longer! We take every chance we can get to steal the spotlight, and you always want your brand to be front and center. Using effective graphic design helps us to remind your target audience of you, your brand, and the goods/services you provide, keeping your brand front of mind when the time comes to make that call.
What makes a great website design?
Like any kind of design, web design follows a loose set of rules that help to create more effective creative work. Everything must function, of course, but is it appealing to the user? Is it visually interesting or is it boring? Are the pages easy to read and navigate, or are they cluttered and overwhelming? Does the site use correct usage, punctuation, and grammar or are there mistakes in the copy? Does the messaging fit with the brand, or do they seem out of sync? These may seem like simple questions, but these parts and the departments from which they came must come together for effective web design.
What Is Web Design?
Web design is the visual aspect of your website. In simple terms, the web design is how your website looks and feels to the user. Most of the visual elements contribute to user experience, like graphics, photo sliders, and other front-facing elements can all be considered part of the web design.
What is minimalist web design?
Minimalist web design is simplified web design that eliminates unnecessary content and elements that don’t serve a function outside of visual interest. This style of web design uses flat textures, negative space, restricted font options, and limited color choices. Grayscale or monochromatic palettes are common; however, some may opt for small splashes of color to help direct the user. In the most extreme cases, minimalist webpages are stripped of anything and everything that won’t cause the site to crash. The greatest benefit of minimalist websites is that they aren’t burdened by heavy coding, loading substantially faster than other websites to increase user experience.
Is web design and website development the same?
No, but the two departments work very closely with one another to create websites for our clients. Web design is the artistic feel of a website and includes color scheme, layouts, font choices, and more. Website development refers to the back-end creation of a website, usually built from code like HTML, CSS, and others. The designer will help the developer implement the approved design into the coded framework of the website, so that everything appears on the front-end as it should. When constructing websites, the graphic designer and the website developer will work together to ensure that design never compromises functionality and vice versa.
How long does it take to design a single page website?
Depending on who you’re designing for, sometimes it can take weeks to months to design perfect a webpage. Some clients need simplistic, clean design that can be drawn from a template while others require customized options that must be created by hand. The downside of a templated design is that it only allows for minor adjustments while a custom website is built from the ground up, giving the graphic designer much more freedom to create visually appealing pages.
What are the essential steps for a professional logo designer?
There are lots of steps that individual designers take when approaching a project, and not every creative has the same process. However, there are a few main points that most graphic artists use to develop creative content, including logo design. It all begins with the discovery meeting with the client to find out what they need, who their brand is, and who their target audience is. After discovery, if the designer is unfamiliar with the target audience, we will perform market research to learn more about them and figure out which direction the creatives will need to go to be effective. During the research and brainstorming phase, the designer will sometimes put together a collection of inspiration to pull from when designing (sometimes called a moodboard). Concept development comes next, and then the design finally starts to take shape. After the designer, an internal committee, and the client have reviewed and made revisions, the design is approved and published to whichever media it was created for.
What is product design?
Product design is the process in which goods are brainstormed, developed, and presented to the customer. The product must be functional, consistent, aesthetically pleasing, and obvious in its uses. In a world that’s saturated with competition, standing out with a beautiful product that works as described is your only option. For effective product design, you must pinpoint the problem you’re trying to address and create a unique solution that works. But don’t worry, you’re not left to do it all alone! There are several different fields that come together to develop effective product design, and the creatives aren’t the only ones. To provide the full scope of product design, you need analysts, data combers, and researchers on top of the designers, animators, and copywriters to get the whole picture.
